Our Story

Mama Mia Trattoria’s journey began over 20 years ago in the Waldo Building, located in downtown Portland, as an old world Italian red sauce house. Carpeted and wallpapered, the restaurant was rooted in tradition. While the space has evolved over time, we remain deeply attached to our rich plum tomato red sauce and the Italian belief that connections are created through food.

Today, our aesthetic leans toward sleek, chic Art Deco influences, Hollywood chandeliers, and a warm, inviting ambiance. Food and drink remain our most treasured traditions, and we strive to bring people together through home style Italian cooking and events that create lasting memories.

Events & Catering

At Mama Mia, we have two lovely, unique spaces available for in house events, with the option for a full restaurant buyout as well. Our menus reflect the Italian practice of sharing food together, offering family style or buffet options, with the flexibility of individually plated courses if preferred. Host your family reunion, rehearsal dinner, corporate event, or even your wedding with us. We offer chef crafted menus, tailored packages to fit every budget, and an on site event coordinator to assist with all the details. We also provide catering options for an easy and delicious meal that we will bring and serve to you. Catering pickup and delivery options are available as well. Flower Gold Florals is proudly providing elegant, seasonal florals for weddings and events in Oregon and Washington.  My goal is to provide as many local florals as possible to bring fresh and seasonal delights from the pacific northwest to your event. My core floral design training comes from right here in the PNW at the Floral Design Institute in Portland, Oregon. I have a unique eye for color and texture which brings beautifully curated pieces to elevate your overall experience.

Founded by Mary and Nick, who brought their floral artistry from Belarus to the Pacific Northwest, we specialize in seasonal, handcrafted designs using local blooms whenever possible. Each arrangement is unique and created from scratch, we don't work from templates or catalogs.

About Anna
Anna Timura is a photographer with Ukrainian roots who came to America “for a short visit” and ended up staying long enough for her coffee shop to memorize her order. She loves capturing real people, real stories, and genuine energy, and she edits all her photos herself because she is a perfectionist who has made peace with late-night pixel staring. Trained at Alexandra Pankratova’s photography school, she continues to learn every day. She loves animals, her family, and traveling and would gladly live in a forest if it came with soft light, friendly deer, and decent Wi-Fi. If someone wants natural vibes, personality-filled photos, and a photographer who jokes at questionable moments, Anna is a great match.

Her love for hiking and traveling reflects a deep appreciation for the natural world and for the stories found in every place and every person she encounters.
